Several weeks ago I met Amy and her mom on one of the hottest days of the year. So to avoid my lovely bride from melting in the Summer sun, we moved the Bridal Shoot indoors at the High Point Country Club. And thank goodness we did! The natural window light at this venue is gorgeous. But then again, so is Amy! Another wedding party was arriving shortly so we were limited on time, but the staff were great in helping us move furniture and setup for each location. My favorite room was the library which showcased two beautiful full-length windows and a very ornate fireplace. Naturally I placed Amy in the window to highlight her gorgeous flowy gown and all its splendid detail.
We also took advantage of another full-length window hidden behind drapery in the long hallway leading to the banquet rooms. I tried to be a little creative and deviate from my standard backlight window shot and captured this very unique angle through a mirror doorway. I absolutely love it!
Although it was extremely hot, I did manage to get Amy outside for just a few pillar photographs. She had described the beauty of these pillars when we first met so I definitely wanted to incorporate them into the session.
