Alice and Jimmy are such an amazing couple and I am so thankful to have been a part of their beautiful wedding day! The Cotton Room was the setting for the day with a quick trip to Duke Chapel before the rain came. Although it was overcast for most of the day, we were still able to capture some gorgeous images of the couple and bridal party before heading back to the Cotton Room for the ceremony.
Alice was escorted down the aisle by both her mom and dad, as Jimmy waited anxiously to have her by his side. The ceremony went off without a hitch and immediately following the parents of the bride and groom along with the bridal party participated in a lovely tea ceremony to honor the bride and groom and their families. Alice changed into a traditional qipao dress for the intimate ceremony.
Soon afterwards the reception was kicked off by Alice and Jimmy’s first dance as man and wife. I may sound like a broken record, but the Cotton Room truly is my favorite wedding venue to work at. Not only is it a beautiful backdrop for such a momentous day, but the staff are absolutely the best!
And I must give a shout out to Cinda’s Creative Cakes for treating me to her delicious cupcakes which is precisely what I needed after a long day of work!
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Shedlick!
