Meredith and Cole ~ Sutherland Wedding

Congratulations to Meredith and Cole on their wedding nuptials! I met Meredith and Cole through a former bride and new instantly that I was going to love working with them. Meredith is such a sweet person and Cole is the perfect complement to her. They are both so gracious and easy-going that I knew our personalities gelled.

When the wedding day finally arrived, their outdoor ceremony scheduled on the lawn at The Sutherland, was threatened by lingering storm clouds overhead. But thankfully the weather held off for the ceremony to continue as planned. And just as the ceremony ended and we began taking portraits on the grounds, the skies cleared and the sun finally made its appearance!

The Sutherlands new outdoor pavilion was the perfect setting for a night filled with laughter, love and lots of dancing! The couple kicked off the night with their first dance as husband and wife and treated guests to a scrumptious dinner as the sun set. It was perfect!

Kayla and Sam ~ Duke Chapel Wedding

I am so happy to post Kayla and Sam’s Duke Chapel wedding. It was such a pleasure to get to know Kayla and Sam over the past year. After years of dating, Sam popped the question and the wedding planning began. Naturally, Duke Chapel was the perfect setting for what was to be a beautiful day.

And when that day finally arrived, Both Kayla and Sam were ready! They didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, so instead they decided to share a private prayer before the ceremony began. It was such a touching moment to witness. But it wasn’t all serious business just yet; each shared a few giggles anticipating all the events still ahead.

Kayla, hand-n-hand with her beloved dad, began the long walk down the aisle. As guests rose in their seats, Sam could not hold back a smile from ear to ear. Throughout the ceremony, Kayla and Sam rarely took their eyes off one another. It was an absolutely beautiful ceremony!

Afterwards, we headed outside in the blistering heat to capture a few gorgeous portraits of the couple. Sam, sporting his tux, stuck it out in the heat with us as we made our way to Washington Duke Inn for more portraits before heading to the reception.

Once guests took their seats, Kayla and Sam made their grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. Rouse! It was a beautiful evening filled with tear-filled toasts, dancing and a surprise vocal performance from the groom to his bride.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Rouse!

Fiona Josephine ~ Newborn Portrait Photography

I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Miss Fiona Josephine since it was a surprise! Fiona was welcomed by mom and dad and big sister June 1, 2014 which is also mom’s birthday. How about that for the best birthday gift ever! Congratulations to mom and dad who have an absolute angel in their family!

Camryn Lynn ~ Newborn Portrait Photography

Please help me welcome this little sweetie to the world! Camryn Lynn was born July 28, 2014 at 7:30pm. She weighed 7lbs 12oz and measured 20 3/4 inches long. I had the pleasure of meeting this little bundle of joy shortly after her birth as mom and dad are close friends of ours. Camryn was a true professional. She fell asleep on queue and let me squish her tiny little body into any position I tried. She rarely cried and even gave me a few smiles!

I couldn’t be happier for the new family and look forward to many more opportunities to capture Camryn as she grows!

Erin and Mitchell ~ Hudson Manor Estate

Erin and Mitchell were married in May at the always beautiful Hudson Manor Estate in Louisburg, North Carolina. The weather could not have been more perfect for their outdoor ceremony in the garden. Erin, absolutely stunning in her wedding dress, was simply beaming as she made her way down the long path to the garden. Mitchell, decked out in his officers uniform, eagerly awaiting a glimpse of his bride-to-be. Once she appeared under the archway leading down to the garden, Mitchell’s eyes brightened. The ceremony was simply beautiful from start to finish.

Afterwards guests welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Lourens as they took their place on the dance floor for their very fist dance as man and wife.

We had an opportunity to take a few photographs outside in the horse pasture before dinner ended. A special thank you to Melissa, the owner, who graciously helped us pose the horses. Without her assistance, I would not have been able to capture such wonderful moments with Erin and Mitchell. And it greatly helped that we timed it just perfectly as the sun was setting.

Please help me congratulate Erin and Mitchell on a long life of love and happiness together!
