Laura & Jon ~ Rose Hill Plantation, NC

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Grant! Laura and Jon were married at the historic Rose Hill Plantation last month. Rose Hill is a picturesque countryside estate with a beautiful 18th-century Manor House nestled between a tree-lined crepe myrtle driveway and a quiet lake filled with very friendly swans. It is an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for the most intimate day of your life!

I met Laura last year and from the get go she was beaming with excitement over the wedding venue. I could see from pictures she showed me that is was beautiful, but it is even more impressive in person. On the wedding day, I arrived a little early to capture some of the romantic beauty that Rose Hill has to offer. When Laura arrived, the first thing she said to me was, “I told you!”

The night before the wedding was my first opportunity to meet Laura’s groom. Jon, a Navy SEAL, is a great compliment to Laura. Where Laura is animated, Jon is calm and very humble. It was a pleasure to have met them and watch them interact with each other throughout the day. Jon was very gentle with Laura… he let her shine. One moment I recall was just before the reception was ready to begin, I spotted a wooden fence resting in the path of the setting sun. I politely asked Jon if he would mind standing back for a moment so I could photograph Laura against the fence. He said yes absolutely, she is gorgeous, this is her day. Now how sweet is that?

I also want to thank Erin McLean Events for all their hard work. And a special thank you to Valerie!

Jill Luther Bridal ~ NC State Club, Raleigh, NC

I am thrilled to announce Jill and Wes are hitched! But, before you can see their wedding images, you must sneak a peek at Jill’s Bridal Portraits!

I met Jill, mom, and Kami (wedding coordinator) at the State Club for an afternoon of fun! Although I was a bit under the weather, Jill was absolutely stunning in her wedding gown and rocking some gorgeous jewelry!

Kristen & Dan St. Patrick’s Day Wedding ~ Newton Square

Happy Wedding Day and St. Patrick’s Day to Mr. & Mrs Burke! Kristen and Dan were married in a lovely ceremony among family and friends at Newton Square in Raleigh. I am so happy to have had an oppotunity to be a part of their big day! They are a hoot and Dan does the best Vanilla Ice dance routine I have ever seen. Guests were treated to a homemade cake by the bride’s mother and very yummy St. Patrick’s Day insprired cupcakes. I must admit, I had two, they were so good!

Congratulations Kristen and Dan!

Kristen Bridal ~ Het Landhuis House, Pittsboro, NC

Last month I photographed Kristen’s Bridal Portrait Session at the lovely Het Landhuis House in Pittsboro, NC. It is a unique venue, tucked away in the woods stands a farm house, lake, log cabin, and a beautiful barn which was the setting for our shoot. Kristen was glowing in her dress and sparkling earings. She was stunning!

Here are a few of my favorites.

Turner ~ Newborn

Last week I traveled to Greenville to meet young Turner, born just a few days earlier. When I arrived, he was wide awake and laying contently on a chair. I started to setup my equipment as mommy gave Turner his mid-day feeding. That was the last I saw of Turner awake. He was an absolute darling to photograph. He occasionally would startle himself, I think he was cold, but quickly melt back into position.

Here are just a few of my favorites!
