April & Paul ~ Angus Barn Pavilion

April and Paul couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day for their afternoon wedding at the Angus Barn Pavilion. Paul spent most of the morning making sure everything was in place as April, tucked away and out of sight, relaxed with her bridesmaids. As 11am drew close, guests were seated overlooking a gorgeous view of the lake under a bright blue sky. Paul made his way to the altar and waited anxiously for his lovely bride to arrive. As April emerged from the Pavilion, guests awed at her beauty. It was quite breathtaking.

Congratulations April and Paul!

Trey ~ Six months

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with another former bride and groom of mine, Sarah and David. And joining us was little Trey! Trey has the most adorable little giggle and I can almost hear it when I look at the first image. We decided to include a few Santa photos for the Holidays and they are precious! Although, you should see my outtakes… I would say 50% of them are of Trey rolling over, but he is still giggling.

Jack ~ Six months

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing a former bride and groom of mine, Jessica and Steven, and their adorable Jack! I photographed Jack within weeks of his birth and could not believe my eyes at how much he has grown in 6 months. Jack is a delight to photograph! I don’t think he complained once during our shoot even though temps were hovering around 45 degrees.

Julianna Bridal ~ Proximity Hotel

Julianna, her dad, and I had originally planned to shoot at Duke Gardens, but since the weather was not going to work with us, we settled on the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro. This was another first for me and I was eager to take on the challenge. I arrived a little early to scope out a few location inside the hotel. I was awestruck at the beauty of this hotel. How could I have not known about this place?

Julianna was absolutely radiant in her dress and such a pleasure to work with. She was eager to try just about anything, except run out in the rain. No, I did not ask her to do that and would not dare. But she was patient as we had to setup the lighting for each location and even through out a few really cool ideas I had not thought of. It was a blast!

Thank goodness for rain!

Jenny & Will ~ Duke Chapel/Duke Gardens

Jenny and Will were married in front of their closest family and friends in a lovely ceremony at Duke Chapel. The day before the wedding we were informed that a large interior section of the Chapel was under renovation and blocked by scaffolding, yikes! Although the eyesore was visible when you first entered the Chapel I was able to shoot around it and got some beautiful images! After the ceremony, we headed to Duke Gardens were guests were treated to a buffet dinner, photobooth and a fun filled night of dancing.

This couple just captured my heart watching them throughout the day. I wish you both all the love, laughter and happiness in your future together.

Congratulations Jenny and Will!
