Erin and Michael celebrated their wedding day surrounded by their closest family and friends at the very chic Cotton Room in Durham. This was my first wedding at the Cotton Room and it was a blast!
I met up with Erin and her bridesmaids at Posh Salon in Downtown Durham. As refreshments were served, Erin began her day having her hair styled and adding the final makeup touches. From there we headed back to the Marriott where the girls relaxed before getting dressed. Erin was the last to get in her dress and everyone stood in awe as her mom buttoned up her gown. She was absolutely stunning! Next we headed to Duke Gardens for a few portraits. It was hot, so we just grabbed a few photos before heading over to the Cotton Room to cool off.
Once there, I met up with Michael and the boys for a few pre-ceremony portraits. I was told Michael was very nervous, but by the time I had met up with him he was relaxed and ready for the fun to begin!
The music began and Erin, escorted by her dad, entered the ceremony with all eyes on her. Michael sighed and watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle towards him. With a kiss on her cheek, dad handed his daughter over to her groom. Erin could not contain her emotions as she shed a tear while Michael recited his vowels. It was such a sweet moment I am so happy to have captured on camera. A load roar from the guests echoed through the hall as they were being announced as Man and Wife for the first time. I think they both blushed.
Now it was time for the party to begin! The night was kicked off with Erin and Michael’s first dance followed immediately by a very funny yet emotional toast from Erin’s dad. The rest of the evening went off without a hitch as guests dined and danced the night away!
Congratulations Erin and Michael!
I would also like to give a special thank you to Amanda at A Swanky Affair for coordinating all the days events!
